Primus Genetics is owned by Leonard W. Fussell, D.V.M., M.A.M.  The farm is located in Millers Creek, North Carolina, a scenic area in northwest section of the state.

The Primus Angus herd has been built upon years of selection and concentration on economically important traits.  Today, Primus Genetics is focused on building a better beef product for the American consumer.  Through aggressive selection for feed conversion, ultrasound excellence and powerful growth, we believe that we will accomplish our goal of being one of the leading seed stock suppliers in eastern North America.

The Primus Angus herd currently consists of over 250 head of registered Angus and an aggressive embryo program with 15 top donor females.  The base of this herd consists of genetics from some of the leading Angus herds such as Stevenson-Basin Angus, Beartooth Angus, Express Ranches, Gardnier Angus and Wehrmann Angus.
 
We are making plans for our first production sale on November 21st, 2008.  We will be offering our best of the best. You will be able to select from top donors, a powerful set of bred heifers, heifer calves and some of the most cutting edge heifer pregnancies the Angus breed has to offer. 

Watch for Primus genetics in future sale offerings.  Be sure to watch for Primus consignments in the 2008 Bases Loaded Sale, Denver, Colorado, and some of the top herd sires being sold in the Donnell Cattle Company Sale in Graham, Texas each October and March.
